Register now for our Annual Gathering - New Voices, Fresh Thinking - taking place on June 4, 2024, at the Centre Culturel Franco-Manitobain (CCFM). Featuring Patricia Huntsman, a two-time nationally award-winning cultural strategist, this event will feature a full day of learning and conversation on how we can continue to engage, sustain, and strengthen the arts. Patricia Huntsman is a two-time nationally award-winning cultural strategist. She has worked across Canada and internationally in senior roles in the creative industry for over 25 years. Her British Columbia-based team practice offers a full roster of arts management, cultural policy writing and planning, and communication services tailored to Building Communities Through Culture.

As the provincial elections approach, Manitobans for the Arts is working to develop an arts and culture policy platform that truly represents the sector and its members. To achieve this, we need your input.

We look forward to working in collaboration with the Government of Manitoba over the coming weeks and months to bring funding to a sustainable level, and ensure everyone can benefit from a healthy, agile and expanded arts and culture sector that spans the province.

Manitobans for the Arts has compiled a list of programs at the Provincial and Federal level – some for organizations, some for individuals – to help weather the current storm.

Through consultation, we have identified priorities within the sector and are working alongside arts organizations and private- and public-sector partners to address them.
