Manitobans for the Arts introduces “Draft Culture”

Manitobans for the Arts is excited to announce our monthly series of informal get-togethers for members of the cultural sector, entitled “Draft Culture.” These events will gather individuals from across all disciplines and levels of the arts community for open discussions on topics that are important to our organizations and practises. By having these conversations amongst our members, we can create strategies that will make our sector stronger.

Each monthly event will be “hosted” by an individual with insight into the specific topic for that session. The host will introduce the subject and move the conversation along. Our best resource is our members, and by exchanging ideas, we aim to benefit everyone in the room.

Our first Draft Culture event will be held this month.

As an advocacy group, we thought that our first topic should be… wait for it… Advocacy. This session will be hosted by Sean McManus, Board member of Manitobans for the Arts and Executive Director of the Manitoba Chamber Orchestra.

REGISTER HERE to be part of our inaugural Draft Culture Session. At this time, we are limiting the number of attendees in order to ensure that we have a robust discussion with all that are in attendance.

Please remember, only members of Manitobans for the Arts can register for our Draft Culture events. Not a member? Not a problem. Become an INDIVIDUAL MEMBER or register to be an ORGANIZATIONAL MEMBER.

We look forward to seeing you on November 26th - Cheers!
